Faux Tooth Necklace DIY

Maybe this is a fang or a teeny tusk.
Whatever exotic back story you have in your head, feel good knowing that no animals were harmed in the creation of this necklace because it was made from polymer clay.

Thrift Store Friday #52 ~ 3 Ways to Wear a Lace Pencil Skirt

In May, I wrote a tutorial that explained how to make curtains from the thrift store into a lovely lace pencil skirt.  Sooooo...lets just say that you ran out, bought some curtains from the Arc and made one.
Now what?

Thrift Store Friday # 51 ~ 25 Outfits From 9 Pieces

Many things changed when I moved here to Colorado. One big change: no Goodwill Outlet Center. Very sad.  I have branched out and explored other thrift stores, so Good{will outlet} Friday will now be called Thrift Store Friday. So here's my first Thrift Store Friday post: 25 outfits made from 9 pieces.

Five Fun DIY Halloween Costumes

That is definitely me at parties.  If I could find/make an adult Sulley costume from Monsters Inc, I would absolutely wear it. I love dressing up in costumes.  Here are five DIY Halloween costumes from previous posts to inspire you.

DIY Inspiration - Elastic Headband

In June, I posted a very easy headband tutorial (below) using fabric scraps and elastic.  My version was very basic with a tribal print design, but you could really do anything you want - the possibilities are endless!  Here is some DIY inspiration I found online.

Start with a basic fabric and elastic band, then sew on pretty patches or big fake flowers, or consider swapping out the fabric scrap for a band of lace or chain.

Comic-Con Super Shorts

In case you didn't already know (like if you happen to live under a rock), Comic-Con took place in San Diego this weekend.  Not only have I been roped into super hero conversations at work and bombarded by a flood of Marvel related Facebook posts, but even a hand full of stores - places that sell ladies clothing - are getting in on the action.

Head Wrap (DIY)

Summer is pretty awesome, but you know what isn't so awesome?  Humidity.  That's right, and living here in The Mitten basically guarantees that I can expect Brillo pad hair from the first day of spring until Thanksgiving.  It can't be tamed.  Because I dislike children mistaking me for Ronald McDonald, I try to hide the frizz under hats, scarves, or whatever I can find.  This is why I love head wraps and why I'm going to show you how to make one today.  Even if you aren't at all good at sewing, you can make this: I promise.

Watercolor Mist Tank (DIY) ~ with Simply Spray Fabric Paint

Today was beach day.  Patrick and I vowed to spend the afternoon at the beach - rain or shine!  We didn't wake up to rain this morning...or shine.  Our morning started with a weather advisory text alerting us of 'Dense Fog Conditions.'   The drive was slow and the walk (between the parking lot and the water front is a half-mile hike through the woods) was misty.  I couldn't have planned for a better morning to take photos of this Watercolor Mist tank top!

Good{will outlet} Friday #44 ~ One Item Worn Two Ways

Most of us don't have access to a wardrobe of infinite clothing, so we are left to find multiple ways to wear what we have.  Lots of other bloggers have been doing the One Item Worn Many Ways post (such as A Beautiful Mess, Putting Me Together, and What I Wore) so here I am hopping on the bandwagon!
