Wooden Heart Cookie DIY

Do you ever gawk in amazement at those Youtube videos with someone decorating an impeccable, completely perfect cookie and think to yourself, "How sad that someone's just going to eat that now and it will be gone forever."
If so, then this tutorial might be for you.

Gummy Fruit Tray (DIY)

Here's what I'm bringing on Super Bowl Sunday: a gummy fruit tray.  That's right: I'll be the classiest, most health conscious guest there, or at least I'll be the funniest.  Its a quick inexpensive treat to throw together, and I doubt anyone else will happen to show up with the same dish.

Edible Candy Terrarium (DIY)

Long, long ago when I a tiny kindergartner, my class took a very exciting field trip to the chocolate factory.  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go because by baby brother was born that day (who, ironically, was named Charlie).  True story.  I've always felt a bit jaded about missing that trip - especially a year later when I read Roald Dahl's Charlie and The Chocolate Factory.  My very favorite part of the book was the edible room full of candy flowers and mushrooms and grass.  This little treat was inspired by that wonderful image.  As a six year old child, I dreamed about visiting that room.

Christmas Candy

Today I am feeling grateful for handmade Christmas gifts. Seriously, nothing is sweeter or more sentimental. I am the lucky recipient of the most amazing home baked cookies, candies and tea. I love it, they make me giddy. I am also in love with all the goodies found for me on Etsy (thanks, Patrick). We really made out this year, I feel very blessed. Even the cats are running around with new handmade toys.

If you are one of the people that made things for me this year: You are awesome and you inspire me, thank you!
