Kindergarten Logic

I've been at my new job for almost a month, and I'm happy to report that it's going pretty well.
I'm learning so much and attempting to navigate the world of professional dress (think... nylons and blazers...yeah...).

Although I'm settling in nicely and happy to be here, my heart ached a bit last week as stories and photos of the first day of school flooded social media.  Elementary school librarianship had its frustrating moments, but I truly loved my job and the students I interacted with every day. We formed bonds, and I treasured our special conversations because they offered a glimpse of this exciting, curious world through their eyes.  The adult clients I work with as a counselor now are interesting, but let's be real: they're just not as entertaining as kids.

I put together a collection of my favorite moments for you (and for me) because I think it's beneficial to see things from a child's perspective every once in a while. Most of these conversations took place with kindergarteners, who are especially fun because the world is completely new to them.

I hope they are as endearing and unexpected for you as they were for me.
