I am very quickly falling in love with geometric terrariums this Spring.
Not only do I see them in high-end catalogs and stores, but the inspiration is everywhere - even the thrift store! This DIY is easy and very affordable!
Earth Day is kind of a big deal for Shades of Tangerine because, as you probably know by now, earth-friendly projects are what its all about here. Recycling can be more than just collecting cans and bottles: it presents an opportunity to think out of the box - especially when it comes to clothing and fashion. Anyone can buy a brand new purse or necklace, but it takes a bit of extra effort and craftiness to recycle your style.
Many things changed when I moved here to Colorado. One big change: no Goodwill Outlet Center. Very sad. I have branched out and explored other thrift stores, so Good{will outlet} Friday will now be called Thrift Store Friday. So here's my first Thrift Store Friday post: 25 outfits made from 9 pieces.
Because I am moving to Colorado in a few weeks, this will be my last Good{will outlet} Friday post. I know, its a sad day, but I promise that this is a good post - definitely my favorite.
Most of us don't have access to a wardrobe of infinite clothing, so we are left to find multiple ways to wear what we have. Lots of other bloggers have been doing the One Item Worn Many Ways post (such as A Beautiful Mess, Putting Me Together, and What I Wore) so here I am hopping on the bandwagon!
The early bird gets the worm...unless rain has been falling every day for a solid week. At that point, worms are scattered all over the sidewalk and the birds can sleep in. However, that saying does ring true for Goodwill Outlet Center.
I am definitely ready for some warm Spring weather to make an appearance.
The snow is pretty and all, but I'm tired of scrubbing crusty salt off my shoes and I miss having feeling in my toes. To prepare myself for the change in season, I think its about time for another Mix & Match post. The last Mix & Match post was inspired by fall and was very popular - it was even mentioned on a Goodwill Wood TV8 spot! By combining just 13 basic items in different ways, I came up with 18 fresh Spring outfits. Each of these clothing items was found at Goodwill Outlet Center and the total cost of this new wardrobe is less than thirty dollars.
Until my sister-in-law, Sarah, shared the exciting news that she was expecting, I had very little interest in babies. Now that I'm about to be an auntie, I'm a little bit obsessed with teeny outfits and baby toys.
